The Minister for Communication and Digitalization, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful commissioned new Information Communication Technology ICT Labs under the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), in the Assin North, Assin South, and Assin Central Municipality.
In an Event monitored by TheGhanaTech.com, Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) selected some centers in the Assin Fosu District Assembly, Assinman Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Atonsu MA Basic School, and the Obiri Yeboah Secondary School in the Assin Central Municipality in the Central Region to undertake the project and to promote digital access.
She revealed that His Excellency the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo sees the need to use ICT education and also to encourage the youth to participate in the technology world.
The Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful in her speech stated that the ICT centers train and make ICT skills and techniques common to everyone. She also said that information communication technology will help a lot of people to make transactions online without going through difficulties.
