Telcos Identity Documents required for SIM Card Registration

The National Communication Authority (NCA) together with the Telcos are really doing their maximum best for the SIM card registration exercise. In this tutorial, TheGhanaTech.com will be helping you to know the Identity Documents that will be required for SIM Card Registration.
The NCA board and Mobile Network Operators (MNO’s) are encouraging all SIM card users to complete their registration before March. In a post sighted by TheGhanaTech.com, most people fail to provide the right required documents for the registration when they complete the first stage.
Registration of SIM cards is strictly mandatory. The process started on 31st October 2021 and will end on 31st March 2022. Those who have decided not to register their cards will be removed from the networks. In a post sighted by TheGhanaTech.com, the duration for one to register his/her card takes approximately 7 to 8 minutes for your SIM to be registered.
Most people always ask this question “why the need and benefit for the SIM registration?”. The need and benefit of this process are to get your SIM cards secured and connected. And also with the help of this re-registration, it will be very easy for the Mobile Network Operators to check and control fraudulent and criminal activities.
All subscribers can actually stay at home and complete stage 1 of the SIM Registration. It is only for stage 2 where subscribers will have to visit their Service Provider (Customer Care Centre or Agent) together with the appropriate documents. The maximum registration for individuals is 10 SIM Cards across all networks. Limit of 3 SIM Cards across all networks for Visiting Foreigners and 10 SIM Cards across all networks for Resident Foreigners.
