Meta-owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp is always testing new features in its beta version and this time they are adding another method to login to your WhatsApp account. As per the latest updates WhatsApp beta on iOS and Android will get support for login with Email. Know more about this Email login feature below.
WhatsApp Account Login with Email
As per WABetaInfo, the new WhatsApp beta update on iOS (18.104.22.168) recently launched through TestFlight beta programs, similarly, WhatsApp beta on Android (22.214.171.124) adds an ability to link and login with an Email account to your WhatsApp account. This is the most common feature on many apps which is missing on WhatsApp now finally available on WhatsApp Android and iOS app.
As per the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the Email address page comes with a simple option to add an Email address very easily. After adding an Email address, the user will have to verify this email by opening the email sent by WhatsApp on your device. After verification, the same email can be used to login and recover your WhatsApp account. This feature is an additional feature and the old phone number login option is still available in the WhatsApp app on both iOS and Android. Phone number is still important to access your WhatsApp account.
The addition of this feature would be very helpful to the users, as this feature can be used to receive verification codes via email when required by users. However, you can also avoid using this adding email address feature, as this is not going to affect your WhatsApp functionality.
Recently this feature has been available to a limited number of WhatsApp beta testers, and after successful testing, this feature will be available to everyone in a stable build.
