How to fix Wifi connected but no internet access

In this tutorial, TheGhanaTech will be showing you the steps to fix a wifi connection error that says “Wifi connected But no internet access” on your windows computer. This is one of the most common problems a lot of windows users encounter when connected to a Wifi.
The “Wifi connected but no internet access” error can be caused by DNS error, outdated wifi drivers, Proxy server & IP error, etc. This connection error normally occurs on Windows 10 & 11. When this wifi error appears, most users think that the problem may be from the wifi router.
Normally, your wifi connection may show that you’ve connected to a router but when you access any browser, you will get a notice that says “No internet” or “Unable to connect to the internet”.This connection error may be caused by the Proxy server or the IP may be incorrect.

How to fix Wifi connected but no internet access
To fix this error, you will need to follow the steps carefully.
Method 1
- Go to start menu on your computer and search for control panel
- Click on the control panel and look for Network and Internet and click on it
- Click on the Internet Options
- Click on Connections tab
- Click on LAN settings
- Now if you see that all the box has been checked, kindly uncheck all and check (tick) only “Automatically detect settings”
- Click on Ok
- Now right-click on the network icon on your computer and click on “open network & internet settings“
- A new window page will open, scroll down and click on Network and Sharing Center
- Click on the wifi connection name
- Click on Properties
- Now double-click Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/iPv4)
- Now select “obtain DNS server address automatically” and click on Ok
- You can now restart your computer and check if the internet is working
Method 2
- Go to start menu on your computer and search for settings
- Click on settings and also click on Network & Internet
- Now scroll down and click on Network troubleshooter
- Follow the prompt to fix the issue
Method 3
- Go to start menu on your computer and search for settings
- Click on settings and also click on Network & Internet
- Now scroll down and click on Network reset
- Click on Reset now.
- Your computer will restart after the process
