- Protecting your MTN MoMo PIN: Subscribers should protect their Wallet PIN from unknown people. And also, you should avoid sharing of your Wallet PIN to other people. You can reset and generate a new PIN for your Wallet if you have already shared your PIN to another person
- Do not approve any transaction prompt: All subscribers should avoid any transaction approval notice. These fraudsters can send a fake or transaction approval that will required your PIN whiles you’ve not requested for any transaction.

There are three (3) ways of reporting an MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) fraud case.

- Kindly dial *170#
- Select option 6 (My Wallet)
- Select option 4 (Report Fraud)
- Now select the type of fraud case (Wrong Transfers, New Reversal Process, Fake SMS, Fake Blocking, Fake Promotions)
- Follow the prompt to input fraud details
By Sending SMS
You can also report your fraud case by sending an SMS to a short 1515 by including fraud details.
