SFC: How to repair corrupted system files in Windows 10

The American Multinational technology, Microsoft Corporation, has given all windows 10 users the option to scan and repair corrupted system files using the System File Checker tool.
The System File Checker (SFC) tool are very simple and easy to use. This tool can be used to scan and repair corrupted files found on the computer without going through any stress. The tool was created for the protection of windows resources.
A test was conducted by TheGhanaTech.com and the outcome result was perfect using the System File Checker. In a test conducted, TheGhanaTech team got to realise that the system uses a command prompt (cmd.exe) to scan for, restore any corrupted files in the windows.

The tool is an offline built-in tool that is used by the Windows operating system. Most people find it difficult sometimes to open a file that is already installed on the computer. In this case, you have to know that the file you are trying to access has been corrupted.
Most corrupted files always give errors when accessing them. Some files easily get corrupted when the windows is been attacked by viruses. Some viruses don’t break down the file but sometimes hide files from the user and also delete some files automatically from the windows.
The System File Checker helps a lot of windows users to retrieve and restore some of the files that have been attacked by an unknown malicious code. Most users should try and run the system file checker to confirm if their computer files are in good condition.
How to scan and repair corrupted system files in Windows 10
- On your PC, click on Start Menu and search for Command Prompt (cmd)
- Right-Click on the Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator
- Now type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth in the command prompt window and press Enter
- Now you have to wait for the process to complete at 100%
- After the repairing process is done, now you will need to restart the computer
- Now, On your PC, click on Start Menu and search for Command Prompt (cmd)
- Right-Click on the Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator
- Now type sfc/scannow in the command prompt window and press Enter
- Display message will show on screen saying “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them“
- Now restart the your computer again to complete the repairing process.
Note: To repair corrupted system files on your computer, you need to run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM.exe) before you start the System File Checker (SFC)
