How to check if my SSNIT and NIA have been merged

The Social Security And National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has announced that all contributors who do not merge their SSNIT and NIA numbers can not access their statement of account after 31st December.
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust in an interview sighted by TheGhanaTech.com said the process of merging your SSNIT and NIA numbers will come to an end by the close of the year. In a post sighted by TheGhanaTech.com, the Director-General of SSNIT is urging all contributors to link their SSNIT and NIA numbers before the year-end.
The merging of the NIA number (Ghana Card) is part of Ghana’s government digitalisation exercises. The Minister of Communication and Digitalisation, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful in her previous speech stated that very soon the Ghana card will be used for the registration of documents and also be required in online credential logins. She also said that Ghana is going digitalized and there is no need for us to hold a lot of cards in our current system.
The merging process will make the SSNIT Management Information System easier for it to capture and keep track of all contributor details from the central base system. Some people will ask if the SSNIT card is no longer in use? The answer to this question is no, the SSNIT card can still be used to check your statement but it is very important to merge it with your NIA number so that the system can easily pick out your information without any stress.
